The Tony Awards will be presented at the Beacon Theater for the second year: “The American Theatre Wing’s 66th Annual Tony Awards will air on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, June 10, 2012 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT), live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The awards show, which honors theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978.  This will be the second year that the show will be broadcast live from the Beacon Theatre, which is part of the Madison Square Garden portfolio of venues. The official eligibility cut-off date will be Thursday, April 26, 2012, for all Broadway productions opening in the 2011-2012 season.”
