Almost 1,700 Gold Derby readers predicted who would reap Oscar nominations. In all, you entered more than 16,600 predictions — five in each race except Best Picture (up to 10) and Makeup (3) — and the results have been tabluated. The four Users above outdid all the Experts and Editors. See the full leader board breakdown to see how you fared too.

The Cinematography lineup offered the fewest surprises with Users scoring 85% while the Documentary Feature forecast had an accuracy of just 40%.

Among the biggest surprises, 461 of you foresaw “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” making it into the Best Picture lineup and 467 predicted a Best Actress nod for Rooney Mara (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”).

However, just 49 Users predicted a Best Actor bid by Demian Bichir (“A Good Life”) as did one Editor and three Experts. And only 45 Users and three Experts foresaw that Original Screenplay nom for “Margin Call.”
