Tina Fey, Robert Downey, Jr. your top choices to host the Oscars

We asked who you thought would make the perfect host for the Oscars. Hundreds of you voted in our poll and two names topped all others — Tina Fey with 24% and Robert Downey Jr. with 21%. While this talented twosome has presented at the Oscars together (2010) and separately, neither has emceed the awardsfest. (If you didn’t weigh in, have your say in the poll at the bottom of this post.)

Ten percent of our voters want some combo of our suggestions to co-host while another 10% was not happy with the choices offered.

Among those who have hosted in the past, 2008 emcee Hugh Jackman was missed the most, reaping the support of 10% of our users. Both four-time hostess Whoopi Goldberg and 2006 emcee Ellen DeGeneres racked up 6% among those surveyed.

Not surprisingly, in light of his tepid performance last year, Billy Crystal has just 5% of our users hoping for an encore. With nine turns at the podium, Crystal is second only to Bob Hope who emceed twice as many Oscarcasts.

And while two-time Oscar champ Tom Hanks (“Philadelphia,” “Forrest Gump”) outpolled two-time host Jon Stewart, neither broke through 4%.
