Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ tops AMA predix for Single of the Year

Robin Thicke‘s “Blurred Lines” is the strong favorite to win Single of the Year at the American Music Awards according to our racetrack odds. The summer smash hit spent 12 weeks at number-one on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, and though it was recently shut out at the MTV VMAs, which are also decided by online voting, it leads this race with 6/5 odds.

But Thicke could be threatened by another number-one single: “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. It’s currently the best selling digital song of 2013 and ranks second with 19/10 odds.

Cruise” by Florida Georgia Line didn’t top the Billboard Hot 100 but still sold six million copies in the US, making it the second best selling digital country single in history, behind Lady Antebellum‘s “Need You Now.” Our predictors rank it last in the category, but with 4/1 odds it could still be a spoiler.
