Band Perry narrowly leads three-way race for Vocal Group at CMAs

The Band Perry are ahead in our current CMAs predictions for Vocal Group of the Year with 9/5 odds. This is the fourth straight nomination in the category for the sibling trio, but they’ve never won, though they did take New Artist and Single of the Year in 2011.

Not all of our predictors agree, however. They’re split three ways, with a pair of recent winners also given strong odds: Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum, who are dead-even with 12/5 odds each.

Lady A won three years in a row (2009-2011), but Little Big Town are the defending champions and the most nominated group in the category, with four bids overall this year, compared to just two for Lady A. The Band Perry has no other nominations.

Neither of the remaining nominees have won this category before. Zac Brown Band are previous CMA winners (New Artist of the Year, 2010), but trail in  fourth place with 25/1 odds.

None of our predictors are betting on the Eli Young Band, who are nominated for the second straight time in this category. They’re in last place with 100/1 odds.

Will one of the top three bands in this race prevail, or will the Zac Brown or Eli Young Band pull off an upset? Make your predictions below:
