Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert win big at CMT Music Awards

The CMT Music Awards continued their love affair with Carrie Underwood by giving her the top prize of Video at the Year for the fourth time in the 12-year history of these kudos. Winning this time around for “Blown Away,” she was just that in her acceptance speech. The “American Idol” champ has claimed a record 10 trophies at these awards voted on by viewers of the country cabler.

Miranda Lambert prevailed with two of her leading four bids — Female Video for “Mama’s Broken Heart” and CMT Performance Video for “Over You” from the 2012 “CMT Artist of the Year” show. She also accepted on behalf of her absent husband, Blake Shelton, when he won Male Video for “Sure Be Cool If You Did.”

Luke Bryan and Eric Church had to settle for just one win from their four bids apiece as these two rising stars shared Collaborative Video with kudocast co-host Jason Aldean for  “The Only Way I Know.”

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, who perform under the name of Florida Georgia Line, won both Breakthrough Video and Duo Video for “Cruise” and performed their chart-topping remix of the song with Nelly.

And Lady Antebellum won Group Video for “Downtown.”
