Will Daytime Emmys darling Heather Tom win again?

Four of our experts foresee Heather Tom (“The Bold and the Beautiful“) repeating in the Best Actress race at this year’s Daytime Emmys. Those backing the bid by this Daytime Emmy darling are: Dan Kroll (Soap Central), Roger Newcomb (We Love Soaps), Gold Derby founder Tom O’Neil and executive editor Paul Sheehan.

Tom has appeared on “The Young and the Restless,” “One Life to Live,” and “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and has been nominated for 14 Daytime Emmy Awards, winning four. She claimed this category last year for playing Katie Logan Spencer on “B&B” and is the only actor in Daytime Emmy history to have won awards at all levels having taken the supporting prize in 2011 for this same role and the younger actress award in 1999 for her work on “Y&R.”

Nelson Branco (Soap Opera Uncensored) is backing the bid by 1991 champ Finola Hughes. She has played Anna Devane on “General Hospital” and “All My Children” off-and-on since 1983 and has four previous nominations in this category.

And Jamey Giddens (Daytime Confidential) is predicting that Susan Flannery will win this race for the fourth time. She played Stephanie Forrester on “The Bold and the Beautiful” from the show’s debut in 1987 until 2012. Previously, she prevailed with four out of nine nominations.
