Experts’ Golden Globes predictions: Comedy categories still wide-open

While there is general consensus among our nine Experts who have made their predictions for the Golden Globes as to the winners of the drama categories, the comedy races remain wide-open.

Comedy/Musical Picture could go to any of five films. “Inside Llewyn Davis” and “The Wolf of Wall Street” have three votes apiece while “Before Midnight,” “Nebraska” and “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” have a single Expert supporting their bids. (See below for a category by category breakdown by Expert.)

Comedy/Musical Actor is equally competitive with four fellows garnering two votes each — Leonardo DiCaprio (“The Wolf of Wall Street”), James Gandolfini (“Enough Said“), Oscar Isaac (“Inside Llewyn Davis”) and Ben Stiller (“The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”) — with Bruce Dern (“Nebraska”) picking up one vote.

And Comedy/Musical Actress looks like a battle between Globe favorite Meryl Streep (“August: Osage County“) and Emmy darling Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Enough Said“) with Streep currently ahead by a score of four to three. Julie Delpy (“Before Midnight“) has the support of one Expert.
