Scott Mantz (Access Hollywood) tops all Experts predicting Globe film nominations

Gold Derby polled 15 Experts to predict the film nominees for this year’s Golden Globe Awards. Of this group, Scott Mantz (Access Hollywood) scored an impressive 80% to lead all the others.

Some surprises were very difficult to predict, like the snubs for Oprah Winfrey (“The Butler“) and Tom Hanks (“Saving Mr. Banks“). But Mantz nailed some very difficult selections with his picks for “Rush” in the top drama category, Idris Elba (“Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom“), and Greta Gerwig (“Frances Ha“).

Coming in second place with 76% accuracy were Kevin Polowy (Next Movie) and Sasha Stone (Awards Daily).

Next in line were Matt Atchity (Rotten Tomatoes), Michael Musto (Village Voice), and Peter Travers (Rolling Stone) at 74% correct.

Tariq Khan (Fox News) then scored 72%.

Thelma Adams ( and Paul Sheehan (Gold Derby) were next with 68%.

Following were Edward Douglas (Coming Soon), Tom O’Neil (Gold Derby), Keith Simanton (IMDB), and Susan Wloszczyna (Roger Ebert) at 66%.

The field is rounded out by Thom Geier (Entertainment Weekly) at 64% and Christopher Rosen (Huffington Post) at 62%.
