News Nuggets: ‘Breaking Bad’ spinoff, ‘Better Call Saul,’ gets greenlight

AMC and Sony Pictures Television have reached a licensing agreement for “Better Call Saul,” a spinoff of the Emmy-winning drama “Breaking Bad” that will focus on lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk). The series will be a one-hour prequel set before unscrupulous lawyer Saul began working for teacher-turned-drug kingpin Walter White (Bryan Cranston).
