Can Jim Parsons stop Alec Baldwin’s winning streak at SAG Awards?

The battle for Best TV Comedy Actor at the SAG Awards is turning into quite the contest.

Alec Baldwin has won seven years running for “30 Rock.” While he remains the frontrunner, the fact that his show signed off almost a year ago could keep him from making it a lucky eight. Three of our Experts predict that he will prevail yet again. That support, combined with the backing of five Editors, 11 of the Top 24 Users from last year and about 40% of All Users, gives him leading odds of 21/20.

Jim Parsons has won three Emmys for “The Big Bang Theory” but never taken home the Actor trophy. He has been bested by Baldwin for the last three years running. One Expert, three Editors, 10 of the Top 24 and about 40% of All Users forecast him to finally win with his fourth bid; he has odds of 21/10 to stop Baldwin’s streak.

Ty Burrell has contended in this category three times for his featured work on “Modern Family.” While he has yet to win this individual prize, he has shared in the three TV Comedy Ensemble victories for the show. One Expert and about 5% of All Users expect him to win this award, giving him odds of 10 to 1.

Don Cheadle has won two of his previous nine SAG nominations over the years for the film ensembles “Traffic” and “Crash.” This is his first bid for “House of Lies” and with one Expert and just under 5% of All Uasrs predicting him to win, he has odds of 12 to 1.

Jason Bateman contended in this category back in 2005 for the first season of “Arrested Development“; he lost to Tony Shalhoub (“Monk”).  With just a smattering of support from All Users, he has odds of 33 to 1.
