Once again, the nominating committee didn’t embrace any brand new dramas or comedies (the only nominee from a freshman series is Kevin Spacey from “House of Cards“). Instead, they hung on to aging programs like “Boardwalk Empire” and “30 Rock” and welcomed a handful of contenders they had previously overlooked for their current roles: Don Cheadle (“House of Lies“), Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones“), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Veep“), and Kerry Washington (“Scandal“).

Along with surprise nominees Cheadle and Dinklage, not many of us predicted bids for Mayim Bialik (“The Big Bang Theory“), Jeremy Irons (“The Hollow Crown“) and Rob Lowe (“Killing Kennedy“).

Even so, two of our Users — me123 and OscarMan2.0 — scored best with an impressive 78%. Me123 breaks the tie because he earned the most game points (12,564), thus establishing himself as winner of our reader contest. Prize: $100 Amazon Gift Certificate.
