‘American Idol’ Top 11 results: Hollywood dreams and falsetto nightmares

Spoilers for “American Idol” Top 11 week are below!

After 72 million votes — the highest of the season, noted Ryan Seacrest — the singer who failed to make it into “American Idol‘s” Top 10 and the show’s summer concert tour was Ben Briley.

Also in this week’s bottom three were Sam Woolf and Majesty Rose… both shockers considering their top placements on this week’s leaderboard to win Season 13.

I personally thought that Ben would foul out this week, thanks to his rendition of Elton John’s “Bennie and the Jets” having “way too much falsetto, man!” Ben’s high-pitched rendition fell outside of his normal country wheelhouse and as a result he just didn’t connect with America

Our Gold Derby racetrack odds foolishly disagreed with me (and America) and instead thought that the bottom three would be M.K. Nobilette, C.J. Harris and Jena Irene, with M.K. getting the boot.

We need YOUR votes each week to help influence our odds. Who will win “American Idol”? Who will be voted out? Start logging your predictions now in order to be eligible to win our $100 prize.

Below, watch Ben’s “Songs From the Cinema” performance that resulted in his early elimination.
