‘American Idol’ Top 8 results: Did the judges save Sam Woolf?

Spoilers for “American Idol” Top 8 week are below!

American Idol” favorite Sam Woolf found himself in the bottom three again this week for the third time based on America’s results. But was the third time the charm in getting him saved?

Sam was joined by C.J. Harris and Malaya Watson in the bottom three, but it was poor Sam who Ryan Seacrest revealed had the lowest number of America’s votes this week.

Judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. were given the option to use their sole Judges’ Save of the season on Sam, and they chose to finally use it.

Cue the cheers and confetti!

Gold Derby’s racetrack odds for Top 8 week actually had Sam in fourth place to be eliminated with 12/1 odds. Our first place prediction was C.J. Harris with 8/13 odds, but he managed to survive his second time in America’s bottom three.
