‘American Idol’ contest: See how you scored predicting Top 9 week

Co ngratulations to our site user LexMG for holding onto his first place position in our “American Idol” predictions contest after Top 9 week.

Even though this user forgot to make predictions this week (it’s easy — click here!), LexMG’s high point tally from the previous weeks of competition kept him at #1. Having correctly predicted the elminations of Kristen O’Connor in Top 13 week, Ben Briley in Top 11 week and M.K. Nobilette in Top 10 week, LexMG’s five-week high score stands at 7031 points.

If LexMG continues to outscore all of the other users by season’s end, he will earn a $100 Amazon gift card and will receive two tickets to a live taping of “American Idol” next season (airfare and lodging not included).

To try your luck with our weekly contest, simply log into your predictions, click on the “American Idol” button and start voting.

Each week you’ll be tasked with predicting who will receive the lowest number of America’s votes as well as who you think will be the ultimate winner. You’re free to keep changing your mind throughout the week — especially if the odds get better or worse — but just make sure to click the “Save Predictions” button at the bottom of the page to log your results.

While LexMG is the current winner after two weeks, this user isn’t alone on our leaderboard. Second place goes to Dehlavi with 5915 points, who correctly predicted that Majesty Rose would receive the lowest number of America’s votes and that the judges — Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. — would not save her.

Third place is WiltedYouth with 3311 points, fourth place is Magic 8 Ball with 2695 points and fifth place is me with 2663 points.

Don’t see your name listed? Just click on the leaderboard here to see where you placed on our running scorecard. Remember, it doesn’t matter how many points you earned in any individual episode, but instead how high your overall score is at the end of the season.

Next week’s Top 8 predictions center is now open, so head over there and cast your votes for who will be voted out next and who will ultimately win Season 13.

As always, sound off in the comments section below and join the discussion in our “American Idol” forum.
