Are any of this season’s ‘Bachelorette’ castoffs worthy to be next ‘Bachelor’? (Poll)

ABC’s “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” franchises have fed each other for years. The stars of one show are usually chosen from previous contestants on the other, including this season’s Andi Dorfman, who famously walked away from “Bachelor” Juan Pablo Galavis this past spring. So if the next season of “The Bachelor” continues that trend, who among Andi Dorfman’s rejected suitors would you like to see take the role?

Viewers have gotten to know Andi’s most recent castoffs more intimately than the rest: farmer Chris, for whom she didn’t feel strongly enough to try to make a life work in rural Iowa, and Marcus, who fell in love hard and fast – too fast for Andi, who couldn’t match his feelings. Might one of them be worthy of another chance as “The Bachelor”?

Other memorable contestants included basketball coach Brian and accountant Dylan, both rejected in Belgium, and so-called “pantsapreneur” J.J., who got the boot the week before in Italy.

Poor Cody didn’t even make it to the rose ceremony in Italy. After he celebrated the epic love of “Romeo & Juliet” with Andi in Verona, his first and only one-on-one date with her had its own heartbreaking ending: she told him she didn’t have romantic feelings for him and sent him away early.

‘The Bachelorette’ mystery: Will Andi choose Nick or Josh?

And what about a couple of the more controversial contestants? Poor Craig made a fool of himself in week two, drinking himself into a stupor and getting eliminated as a result. And Andrew was accused by the other contestants of everything from flirting with other girls to flat-out racism. Did they get a fair shake?

There has yet to be a black “Bachelor”; would Marquel be the right choice to break new ground for the series, or perhaps Ron, who self-eliminated early on to deal with a personal tragedy?
