The 18th Hollywood Film Awards — and first ever televised version — gave top honors for directing to Morten Tyldum (“The Imitation Game“) and writing to Gillian Flynn (“Gone Girl“).

After accepting their trophies Friday night, both champs went back stage to chat with journalists about their victories and the potential road to the Oscars.
