Join our live Emmy chat with Jason Beghe (‘Chicago P.D.’) this Thursday

On NBC’s new drama series “Chicago PD,” Jason Beghe plays Sgt. Hank Voight. Is he actually a dirty cop or just making it appear that way?  We will ask him about that when he joins us for a live chat this Thursday, June 5, at 12:00 p.m. PT; 3:00 p.m. ET on Gold Derby’s home page.

The freshman show is a spin-off from the peacock net’s popular “Chicago Fire.” Beghe’s character is the shady yet loyal leader of the intelligence unit for the police department. Internal Affairs recruited him in the past to work undercover as a tainted officer, so now there is plenty of speculation that he really is dirty.

The program features quite a few recognizable faces, including Sophia Bush, Patrick John Flueger, Archie Kao, Elias Koteas, Jesse Lee Soffer, and Jon Seda. It is executive produced by “Law and Order” mastermind (and recent TV Hall of Fame inductee) Dick Wolf as well as veterans Michael Brandt, Derek Haas, and Matt Olmstead. The show has already been renewed for a second season next year.
