Let’s peek inside Lifetime’s Emmy FYC campaign box

Emmy voters just received Lifetime’s Emmy campaign box, which is full of key contenders. Three of Lifetime’s films rank in the top 10 of Gold Derby’s list of frontrunners for Best Made-for-TV Movie: “A Day Late and a Dollar Short,” “Flowers in the Attic” and “The Trip to Bountiful.” “Bonnie and Clyde” is within striking distance of landing in the separate category for Best Miniseries and a lot of the performers in these productions jockey for the acting honors. Cicely Tyson (“The Trip to Bountiful“) has the best odds (2/1) to win Best Movie/Mini Actress and we’re predicting nominations for Whoopi Goldberg (“A Day Late and a Dollar Short”) and Ellen Burstyn (“Flowers in the Attic”). All of these productions are serious rivals for crafts races like costumes and art direction.

Elsewhere in the crafts races and over in those reality TV slots, “Project Runway” is always a big player, especially last year when Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn together won Best Reality Host.

Below is a breakdown of the DVDs in the Lifetime Emmy FYC box. Click here to read our detailed report on Lifetime’s complete Emmy campaign – which contenders compete in various categories.
