‘Orange is the New Black’ and ‘Fargo’ casting directors dish Emmy-winning work (Exclusive Videos)

Casting directors Jennifer Euston (“Orange is the New Black”) and Rachel Tenner (“Fargo”) won Emmys Saturday night for the casting of their shows in the Comedy and Miniseries/Movie races respectively. We chatted to both of them on the red carpet prior to the ceremony. Watch both of these newly minted Emmy champs talk about the art of casting below.

Euston readily admitted that this Emmy nomination wasn’t her biggest joy this year: “I’m more proud of my girls being nominated than anything else.” Uzo Aduba, Laverne Cox and Natasha Lyonne all contended for Guest Comedy Actress with Aduba winning the last award of the night.

Tenner filled us in on she went back to her Chicago roots and discovered Allison Tolman, who won the Critics’ Choice TV Award and contends at next week’s Emmys: “One of my friends who’s an agent there and represented her put her on tape. So, that was it then we saw it and we loved it!”
