At the Oscars, it’s ‘Boyhood’ vs. ‘Birdman,’ says Susan Wloszczyna (podcast)

“At the Oscars it’s going to be ‘Boyhood‘ and ‘Birdman‘ fighting it out and then maybe ‘Selma’ sneaking in there,” says Susan Wloszczyna in our podcast chat. (Listen below.)

Wloszczyna confesses to being surprised by the Golden Globes and SAG Awards nominations – seeing Jennifer Aniston getting nommed for “Cake” and Laura Dern getting snubbed for “Wild.”

But she’s pleased that Jessica Chastain (“A Most Violent Year”) got a boost and that a surprise joined the lineup for Best Actor.

Jake Gyllenhaal is going to make one of the early frontrunners take a back seat maybe because of ‘Nightcrawler,’ which people are responding strongly to,” she adds.
