30 Oscar Experts all predict Cate Blanchett (‘Blue Jasmine’) to win Best Actress

All 30 of our Oscar Experts are predicting that Cate Blanchett will win Best Actress for her performance in Woody Allen‘s “Blue Jasmine” at the Oscars on Sunday. That overwhelming support gives her leading odds of 1/10 to add a bookend to the Academy Award she picked up in 2004 for her supporting performance in “The Aviator.”

Amy Adams, who lost all four of her supporting bids, contends for the first time in lead for her role in “American Hustle.” She has odds of 33/1 to pull off an upset at the Oscars.

2009 Best Actress champ Sandra Bullock (“The Blind Side”) is in third place for her turn in “Gravity,” which is locked in a tight battle for Best Picture. She has odds of 50/1.

Also at 50/1 is 1998 Supporting Actress winner Judi Dench (“Shakespeare in Love”) for playing the title role in “Philomena.”

Meryl Streep extended her record earning her eighteenth nomination for “August: Osage County.” However, this is likely to be her fifteenth loss as she has odds of 100/1.
