Oscars predictions slugfest: Scott Feinberg vs. Tom O’Neil

Now that we’ve finally seen all of the leading Oscar movies, Hollywood Reporter pundit Scott Feinberg and I hope we’ve got this derby figured out. We agree that “Boyhood” is out front in the Best Picture race, but any one of these dark horses could jump ahead: “Selma,” “The Imitation Game,” “Birdman” or “The Theory of Everything.” 

“Whiplash” is a fascinating wild pony running on the outside. It’s one of everybody’s favorite films of the year — a nice surprise that will certainly be nominated for Best Picture.
