The telefilm is the story of Aaron Royal (Adelstein) and his wife Maggie (Minnie Driver). Near the beginning of the program, they are happily expecting their first son when he is found to be tragically dead in his mother’s womb. The couple goes on a difficult and emotional journey that threatens their marriage at its core.

Adelstein began his acting career with a role in 1990’s Oscar-nominated film “The Grifters.” After a long series of guest roles on television, his most recognized characters have been Agent Paul Kellerman in the Fox drama series “Prison Break” (2005-2009) and Dr. Cooper Freedman in the ABC medical drama “Private Practice” (2007-2013). He has also been recurring recently on the hot political show “Scandal” as Leo Bergen.
