Join our live Emmy chat with Simon Helberg (‘The Big Bang Theory’) this Thursday

Two seasons ago on “The Big Bang Theory,” Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) finally got married to longtime girlfriend Bernadette (Melissa Rauch). We will ask Helberg about that union and whether she is slowly turning into his mother when he joins us for a live chat this Thursday, June 19, at 11:00 a.m. PT; 2:00 p.m. ET on Gold Derby’s home page.

On the CBS blockbuster hit comedy, Howard is an aerospace engineer who actually went into space as an astronaut over a year ago. He hangs out with his scientist friends (played by  Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, and Kunal Nayyar) and their neighbor Penny (Kaley Cuoco). He is especially known for his pop culture references and impressions of famous celebrities like Nicolas Cage, Al Pacino, and Robin Williams.

With the aid of a massive syndication deal, the geeky comedy has never been more popular. It has the support of critics and the industry as well. The program has been nodded at the Emmys the past three years as Best Comedy Series (and Parsons has won three times as Best Comedy Actor). Helberg (as a supporting actor) and the show itself prevailed at the Critics Choice TV Awards in 2013. And he has been at the SAG Awards as part of their Best TV Comedy Ensemble bid the past three years.
