Based on the amount of fan support she has at Twitter, I officially changed my winner prediction from Tyanna to Jax. I’ve always loved Jax, but worried she was a bit of a niche singer. Not true, according to her Twitter followers. By switching from Tyanna (who has leading 8/13 odds to win at Gold Derby) to Jax (9/2 odds), I lost all of the points I would have received up until now if Tyanna ends up being the winner. At Gold Derby, we get 200 points per week for every episode that we stick with the correct winner. But if Jax does end up winning, it’s better to switch now rather than later because the points continue to accrue every week for correct winner predictions.

Where do you fall on our Season 14 leaderboard?

The top scorers so far are Magic 8 Ball in first place with 50% accuracy and 5,600 points, Axolotlman in second place with 25% and 4,030 points, and Phoenix in third place with 25% and 4,005 points. There’s a four-way tie for fourth place, with Max, Howatdk, Benutty, and KyleBailey all having 25% and 4,000 points. Can YOU take down these frontrunners to win our prizes?

Our current leader Magic 8 Ball correctly predicted the elimination of Sarina-Joi Crowe during Top 12 Week (see predix), but this user missed out on forecasting that Qaasim would receive the lowest number of votes last week, predicting Maddie instead (see predix).

Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.

This week, Magic 8 Ball predicts the elimination of Daniel (see predix). However, I think that Daniel is safe for another few weeks. Don’t forget, he has the second-highest amount of Twitter followers, behind only Jax. That suggests he has a massive fan base and could be in this for the long haul.

Instead of Daniel, I’m predicting that Quentin will be heading home. He was a wild card pick to get into the Top 12, plus he doesn’t have a strong online following. Do you think Magic 8 Ball is correct, or me, or someone else entirely? Cast your own votes now!
