Who will win ‘American Idol’? See exclusive predictions

Congratulations to our user Kevin Postel for winning this week’s episode contest. He’s one of 27 people to reap perfect 100% prediction accuracy while predicting Top 4 Week, though he took the tie with his high point score (983) thanks to locking in the best odds throughout the week. If eligible, as per our contest rules, he will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.

This user’s winning predictions were that Rayvon would be sent packing, that Jennifer Lopez would have “goosies,” that Harry Connick Jr. would not mention a singer’s “intonation” and that Keith Urban would give a standing ovation.

Rayvon was an easy call to get the boot this week, as 59% of our users predicted he’d be going home. There was a tie for second place with Nick Fradiani and Clark Beckham both reaping 16% of the votes. Jax had virtually no chance of going home according to our users, as she only had 5% of their votes. Click on the left-hand chart for the episode’s full odds.

Of the Final 3, Kevin Postel predicts that Jax will be the ultimate winner of Season 14. Do you agree or disagree? Be sure to visit our predictions center and make/update your forecasts before voting closes Tuesday at 6 p.m. PT.

Don’t forget, we’re giving away two $100 Amazon gift certificates this week: one to the user who does the best at predicting the finale and the other to the user who has the best overall season score.

Where do you fall on our overall Season 14 leaderboard?

For the entire season so far, JB and Phoenix have been in a hard-fought battle for first place, with JB taking the lead again this week with overall 66% prediction accuracy. Perhaps we should all listen to JB when he says that Clark will be the winner of “American Idol” Season 14.

There’s a three-way tie for second place now, with Phoenix (16,970 points), Ryan Lapierre (8,614 points) and Denton (7,994 points) all at 59% accuracy. Click here to see where you score on our overall season leaderboard.

Can YOU beat these frontrunners to win our prizes? Then be sure to take part in our “American Idol” prediction contest. We’re giving away $100 Amazon gift certificates to our weekly winners plus at season’s end. The deadline for the season finale is Tuesday at 6 p.m. PT.

Our current overall leader JB correctly predicted Rayvon’s ouster this week. However, he missed calling Tyanna’s elimination in Top 5 Week (see complete predix), proving that it’s possible to do well in our contests without getting everything right.

Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.

To vote for who you think will win “American Idol,” who’ll come in second place and who will be third, drag your choices over from the left to the right. You can continue to update and change your predictions throughout the week, just click “Save Predictions” when you’ve settled on your choice.
