In the hard-fought Season 14 finale of “Project Runway,” fan-favorite designer Ashley Nell Tipton took down Kelly Dempsey, Edmond Newton and Candice Cuoco to win the grand prize. But how did the other contestants place in the show’s finale rankings? And did YOU predict the results?
According to exclusive Gold Derby odds that are derived from the predictions made by readers like you, Ashley and Kelly were actually tied in the #1 position on our winner’s chart for who would become this season’s champ. Both designers had 13/5 odds (28% chance) to win, closely mirroring the judges’ tough decision in declaring Ashley their winner and Kelly their runner-up.
Rounding out the show’s top four, saved designer Edmond wound up in third place, while Candice came in dead last. See more odds and rankings for the finale right here.
In our “Project Runway” predictions center, we’ve been asking readers like YOU to predict the ultimate winner all season long. Hundreds of users cast their votes, but only one claims Gold Derby’s prize of a $100 Amazon gift certificate and eternal bragging rights: Ngo Khang.
Ngo answered every question this season and tops our overall Season 14 leaderboard with 41% prediction accuracy and 13,867 points. To see how this user was able to out-score the other hundreds of contest players, see his entire prediction history here.
Benutty is one of only five people to reap perfect 100% accuracy while predicting the final week, though he broke the tie with his high point score (4,750) thanks to using his special 500 and 200 point bets wisely. See his finale predictions here, which include Ashley as the winner, Kelly as the runner-up, Edmond in third place and Candice in fourth place.

Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.
