According to Week 8’s exclusive Gold Derby odds that are derived from predictions made by users like you, Becky was the overwhelming pick to be eliminated. She had leading odds of 2/9, or 82% of our users’ votes. Conversely, her block-mate John McGuire only had 12/1 odds, or 8% of being evicted.

Congratulations to our user Benutty for earning the top score in this week’s contest. He was one of 20 users to reap perfect 100% prediction accuracy, though he broke the tie with his high 7,505 point score thanks to using his special 500 and 200 point bets wisely. If eligible, as per our contest rules, he will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.

This user’s winning predictions were that Liz would win the HOH competition, that John and Becky would be nominated for eviction, that Liz would win the Veto, that she would not use the Veto, and that Becky would be eliminated. Amazingly, Benutty didn’t miss any questions at all during Week 8 of “Big Brother.”

During the live Head of Household competition, houseguests had to run a set of races to determine who would become HOH. We saw Meg Maley eliminated, but there were still six houseguests in the running by the time the final credits rolled: John, Julia Nolan, Austin Matelson, Vanessa Rousso, James Huling and Steve Moses.

Check out the overall Season 17 leaderboard to the right. Currently our #1 “Big Brother” predictor is Frederic Lam with overall 89% accuracy and 130,794 points, but there are still many weeks left to play in our contest and be eligible to win our weekly and overall season prizes. See our contest rules.

In our “Big Brother” predictions center, you get to answer the following questions for the rest of the week, including a brand new question:

Who will win HOH competition?

Which 2 houseguests will be nominated for eviction?

Who will win the Veto competition?

Will the Veto be played?

Every time someone logs their predictions, the racetrack odds of the contestants are automatically updated. If the majority of users think Vanessa will go home, that means she’ll have the best odds and will go to the front of the pack. Conversely, the contestants who don’t receive many predictions have the worst odds and will go to the bottom of the pile.

Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.

Average Gold Derby users just like YOU often turn out to be our smartest prognosticators, so it’s important that you give us your predictions. You can continue to update and change your predictions throughout the week, just click “Save Predictions” when you’ve settled on your choice.
