Considering their secret was detected in Week 2, it’s somewhat miraculous that neither twin has ever been nominated for eviction in eight weeks of play. With Liz’s now second Head of Household win this week, the Nolan sisters will comfortably make it to Week 9, meaning they’ve already bested those other “Big Brother” twins, Natalie Carroll and Adria Klein from Season 5.

Speaking of the original twins, while Adria managed to keep the secret long enough for Natalie to enter that house in Week 5, it only took two weeks for the axe to fall. Natalie was evicted in Week 7 and Adria followed in Week 8.

So, what has kept Liz and Julia safe all this time? I think it’s a combination of the following five reasons:

1. Members of a vote-controlling alliance

2. Liz’s nomance-turned-showmance with Austin Matelson

3. Overall lackluster performance at challenges

4. Lack of blood on their hands

5. Letting Vanessa Rousso remain the bigger target

By my guess, Liz is now firmly in the hot seat. Not only is she part of two obvious pairs — one with Julia and the other with Austin — but she is also the more threatening of the two in challenges. Every time someone logs their predictions, the racetrack odds of the contestants are automatically updated. If the majority of users think Becky will go home, that means she’ll have the best odds and will go to the front of the pack. Conversely, the contestants who don’t receive many predictions have the worst odds and will go to the bottom of the pile.

Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.

Average Gold Derby users just like YOU often turn out to be our smartest prognosticators, so it’s important that you give us your predictions. You can continue to update and change your predictions throughout the week, just click “Save Predictions” when you’ve settled on your choice.
