“I’ve become very gracious at losing” Emmys for “The Good Wife,” jokes five-time nominee Christine Baranski on the Paley Festival red carpet at the Dolby Theatre (watch below). “I keep that smile on my face”
When I ask her if her if she’s thinking about what Emmy episode she may submit this year, she shouts back, “You’re assuming I’m going to get a nomination! … Thank you for your optimism.”
She continues, “I just shot an episode that I really, really like that I was very proud of the work in particular. And so that is a possibility [for me to submit]. It’s with Oliver Platt.”
Baranski would be the sixth consecutive actress to win for “The Good Wife,” following Archie Panjabi (supporting) in Season 1, Julianna Margulies (lead) in Season 2, Martha Plimpton (guest) in Season 3, Carrie Preston (guest) in Season 4 and Margulies (lead) again in Season 5. Can she pull it off?
