‘Dancing with the Stars’ predictions: Will Alek Skarlatos & Carlos PenaVega be saved by non-elimination round?

Last week, readers who entered our “Dancing With the Stars” predictions contest were shocked by the elimination of Alexa PenaVega. She had just completed a perfect night with two dances scoring 30 out of 30. But that wasn’t the only unexpected exit last week. Tamar Braxton was hospitalized on Monday, but even though she showed up at last week’s live show and avoided forfeiting, her health woes forced her to withdraw anyway, leaving us with four couples dancing in the semi-finals. Will anyone be eliminated? Click here for our complete predictions for Monday night’s show.

For the last four weeks Alek Skarlatos has had the lowest judges’ score, and our predictors keep forecasting his elimination, but he’s been consistently escaping the axe. This time our contest entrants are actually predicting he’ll stick around; after Braxton’s withdrawal, 45% of us think no one will be sent home, resulting in 5/4 odds of a non-elimination round.

But if anyone does go home, our predictors still think it’ll be Skarlatos. 29% think the military man’s luck will finally run out, giving him odds of 5/2. Meanwhile, Carlos PenaVega, who tearfully said goodbye to his wife at the end of last week’s show gets 8/1 odds of joining her based on 11% of users who expect his ouster.

Bindi Irwin and Nick Carter look as safe as ever. They’re predicted to be eliminated by just 1% of predictors each, giving them both odds of 80/1.

When it comes to predicting the winner this season, Irwin, who has gotten the top judges’ score six times so far with Emmy-winning pro partner Derek Hough, extends her commanding lead. She now gets odds of 8/15 based on support from 68% of those making predictions, up from 57% who were predicting her to prevail this time last week. It seems most who had been predicting Braxton or Alexa PenaVega to prevail have now thrown their support behind the frontrunner.

But Nick Carter has also gained some ground. He holds on to second place with 19% of prediction votes and 4/1 odds (up from 17% and 5/1 odds last week). Skarlatos and Carlos PenaVega both trail with 3% of our users’ support and odds of 33/1.
