Emmys: TV shows (‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Olive Kitteridge’) and networks (HBO, NBC) with most wins

The most awarded program at Sunday night’s Primetime Emmy Awards telecast was “Olive Kitteridge,” winning six of its seven nominations including Best Limited Series. Up next were “Game of Thrones” and “Veep” with four apiece, including Best Drama and Best Comedy, respectively. “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” picked up three prizes, including a farewell trophy for Best Variety Talk Series.

But that doesn’t tell the whole story. Most Emmy trophies were actually given out at last Saturday’s Creative Arts Awards, where the big winner among drama series (and overall) was “Game of Thrones” with a record eight awards while “Transparent” was the top comedy taking home three. Limited series “American Horror Story: Freak Show” claimed five while “Bessie” was the most lauded telefilm with four and “Saturday Night Live” was the most cited variety program with two wins for the series and four for its 40th anniversary special.

Below is the scorecard of all the programs and TV networks that had multiple wins this year at the Primetime and Creative Arts Emmys combined (See the complete list of Primetime Emmy telecast winners here.)
