When Emmy nominations were announced last month, the TV Academy did not yet name producer nominees in the program categories. Now that they have revealed which producers are eligible for nominations on their official website, we have found quite a few famous actors and actresses among the nominees.
The list includes such past Oscar winners as Mel Brooks, Tom Hanks, Frances McDormand, Brad Pitt, and Kevin Spacey. Several of these famous folks are also nominated in acting categories, but a program victory might be another path to winning an Emmy this year.
“The Oscars” – Neil Patrick Harris (as host)
“Sweeney Todd” – Audra McDonald
“Tony Awards” – Hugh Jackman (as host)
“Louis C.K.: Live at the Comedy Store” – Louis C.K.
“Mel Brooks: Live at the Geffen” – Mel Brooks
