Forte has two Emmy nominations this year, including this one as a lead actor and another for writing the pilot episode. That is also his choice in this race, and the plot for the Fox comedy says: “A deadly virus leaves Phil Miller thinking he is the last man on earth. He travels across the country looking for survivors and then heads back home to Tucson, Arizona.” Forte previously had nods for guest starring on “30 Rock” and on the writing staff for “Late Show with David Letterman.”
After six prior supporting nominations for “The Larry Sanders Show” and “Arrested Development,” Tambor moves into the lead category for the first time. On the freshman Amazon show, he plays Maura Pfefferman, a transgender woman in Los Angeles discovering her new life. For the second episode, “Maura embraces her new journey, but nothing about life as a woman is easy — making friends, finding a new community, and above all, coming out to her children.”

We will continue to reveal all other Emmy submissions this year for the series and acting races as they are provided to us by networks, studios, or personal reps.
