At Saturday’s cocktail reception for Emmy nominees hosted by the TV academy, we chatted with Best Movie/Mini Supporting Actor contender Finn Wittrock (“American Horror Story: Freak Show“) on the red carpet about his Emmy nomination and his mysterious character in next season’s iteration, “AHS: Hotel.” Watch our fun interview below.

When we inform him that his co-star Denis O’Hare thinks that Wittrock will win the Emmy, he scoffs, “Denis, get out of here! He’s gonna win. I don’t know how that happened that I’m up against some of the actors that I’ve revered for so long.”
As for his upcoming character on “American Horror Story: Hotel,” Wittrock teases, “Who else would I do this hair for besides Ryan Murphy? I’m thinking of it like a mullet meets a mohawk. [My character] is a model who is sort of influenced by the Sid Viciouses (Sex Pistols) of the world. So, a lot less clothing than Dandy wore in general.”
