Congratulations to our user Smor for being the top scorer in this week’s episode contest. He’s one of only four people to reap perfect 100% prediction accuracy while predicting “Hardhome,” however he took the lead with 1,400 points thanks to locking in the best odds throughout the week. If eligible, as per our contest rules, he will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.

This user’s winning predictions were that nobody listed in our predictions center would die, that we would see a white walker, that Tyrion would have a drink, that there’d be no full frontal nudity and that zero dragons would appear.

The white walker question is the one that stumped the most people, as only 39% of our users predicted we would (finally) see one in “Hardhome.” The vast majority — 61% — were predicting we would not see any white walkers this week. Click on the left-hand chart for the episode’s full odds.

Smor earned 1,400 points for correctly predicting all of this week’s questions. However, if he had placed his special 500 and 200 point bets on any of the questions he got correct, he would have wound up with even more points and bragging rights. That’s where the strategy — and fun — comes into play here at Gold Derby when making your weekly predictions.

‘Game of Thrones’ death watch: Are Stannis, Ramsay, Brienne in danger of dying next?

You can now predict next week’s episode, “The Dance of Dragons” at Gold Derby, so be sure to visit our predictions center and make/update your forecasts before voting closes Sunday at 5 p.m. PT. The eligible user with the highest prediction accuracy and most points will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.

Where do you stand on our overall Season 5 leaderboard?

Currently, there is a four-way tie for first place at the top of our leaderboard, as Benutty, SamEckmann, LuisAlbertoQH and Kmaderby85 are all at impressive 95% prediction accuracy.

In the event of a tie at season’s end, our $100 prize will be awarded to the eligible user with the highest point score. Right now, Benutty has the most points (7,870) thanks to locking in the best odds at the right time. View Benutty’s predictions by clicking here.

Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.

To vote for who you think will die on “Game of Thrones,” drag your choices over from the left to the right and rank them in order, one through five. You can continue to update and change your predictions throughout the week, just click “Save Predictions” when you’ve settled on your choice.
