Chris Stapleton defying our odds and reaping an Album of the Year bid for “Traveller” leads off our 10 biggest shockers in this year’s Grammy nominations.

Our forum posters are running riot as they dish the most jaw-dropping inclusions among the artists, albums and songs in the running for these awards which will be handed out on Feb. 15. (Read our recap of those that made the cut here.)

Grammy Awards: Complete list of nominations

Which nominations do you find to be the biggest head-scratchers? Have your say here.

Below, just a sampling of their thoughts.

Back to Basics: Shocked Courtney Barnett got a Best New Artist nod. No one predicted that.

Atypical: The ascendance of James Bay, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Stapleton, and Alabama Shakes [were also surprising]. What a list this year!!!

PoweR: The general field nominees were fairly predictable. The pleasant surprise was D’Angelo for Record of the Year. I guess it was to make up for the fact that they weren’t going to nominated his album for Album of the Year. It’s his first general field nomination, so congrats!

BrianaBreeze: Kelly Clarkson and her two nominations in the pop field. I’m a little surprised considering that although her album went to number-one earlier this year and “Heartbeat Song” was a modest hit, that they would forget about it.

Rinolo Twenty-two: Elle King is nominated for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for “Ex’s and Oh’s,” that’s great.

AMG: James Bay getting nominated! My favourite nomination so far! Fingers crossed he wins!

AroundU: Ellie Goulding!!! Long overdue.

Tye-Grr: It happened! With the nominations for Kanye’s “All Day”, Paul McCartney is now a Rap Song and Rap Performance nominee, haha. I can dig it.

JonCan: I am shocked at Florence and the Machine getting five noms but I’m SO happy and I’m 100% sure that they will get at least one to take home.
