Nominee Michael Kelly (‘House of Cards’) is ‘freaking out’ as Emmy night finally arrives [Exclusive Video]

Michael Kelly House of Cards Netflix Emmy Awards

At Saturday’s cocktail reception for Emmy nominees hosted by the TV academy, we chatted with Best Drama Supporting Actor contender Michael Kelly (“House of Cards“) on the red carpet about his first Emmy nomination (watch our fun interview below).

“I’m thrilled man. I’m freaking out. It’s so awesome,” Kelly tells us about Emmy night on Sunday. He currently has 20/1 odds against Jonathan Banks (“Better Call Saul”), Ben Mendelsohn (“Bloodline”), past winner Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”), Alan Cumming (“The Good Wife”), and Jim Carter (“Downton Abbey”). That is much better odds than his co-star and last week’s Creative Arts guest acting winner Reg E. Cathey had.

Kelley was thrilled for Cathey’s win, saying, “He’s such a great guy. A real journeyman; he’s been around forever.”
