‘Orange is the New Black’: Danielle Brooks relives ‘magical’ SAG victory (video)

At a recent Emmy event in Los Angeles for Netflix hit series “Orange is the New Black,” Danielle Brooks (Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson) chats with Gold Derby about the show’s SAG Comedy Ensemble victory.

“It was so magical,” she recalls. “First of all it was kind of crazy backstage because there was like 500 of us all trying to sign away for our awards and take pictures, and they tried to do this group photo that totally didn’t work. But it was so cool to stand up with all the girls and get a standing ovation from the room. It was really exciting.”
