Sophie Turner Game of Thrones Emmy Awards

At Saturday’s BAFTA tea party for Emmy nominees in Los Angeles, we chatted with “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner about her show possibly making Emmy history this weekend (watch our fun interview below).

Game of Thrones” won eight trophies at last weekend’s Creative Arts Emmys and is the frontrunner on Sunday to win Best Drama Series with 9/10 odds. One more victory will tie it with “The West Wing” for the most Emmys by a series. Two more wins and it sets the all-time record. In addition to the series nomination, it also has bids for Peter Dinklage (supporting actor), Emilia Clarke (supporting actress), Lena Headey (supporting actress), directing, and writing for the next ceremony.

On whether she feels pressure, Turner admits, “Well, I was fine until now, thanks.” On her favorite moments from season five she says, “Any of those scenes” where she got to work with Alfie Allen who “is such a pleasure to work with.”
