Andrew Savage
Previous Finish: 10th place
Season 7: Pearl Islands

Andrew is the third player from the pirate-themed “Survivor: Pearl Islands” to return to the game, following Rupert Boneham and Sandra Diaz-Twine. Though, unlike the other two, Andrew had to wait 12 years to make his return appearance. In his first season, Andrew’s original tribe was outmatched by the tribe dominated by Rupert and Sandra, causing him to lose vital numbers and be voted out first at the merge.

This time around, Andrew will need to hope that his tribe is strong enough going into the merge, or he could experience the same fate yet again. An okay physical and social contender, Andrew may have a tough time standing out amongst the more dominant “Survivor: Second Chance” players. Gold Derby odds to win: 50/1

PROS
Andrew’s heart could take him far in the game, especially if this season’s hotheads continue to run their mouths off. Don’t forget, back in Season 7 Andrew tried to stop Osten from quitting the game and he had enough respect to tell Lillian that she was going home.

The leader of his original tribe, Andrew was well-liked and respected by all of his tribe mates. If his tribe had gone into the merge with higher numbers, he would have been a strong candidate to win the season.

CONS
Andrew is strong, but he’s no match for some of the other younger powerhouses who will be vying for attention early in the game.

“Survivor” has evolved in many ways since Andrew first played a dozen years ago. The hidden immunity idols, exile islands and countless twists will all be new to this vet. Can he adapt in time?
