Monica Padilla
Previous Finish: 7th place
Season 19: Samoa
On “Survivor: Samoa”, Russell Hantz‘s dominance left little room in the narrative for other players to leave a lasting impression, but in the Tribal Council where she was eventually voted out, Monica left her mark — scrambling to save herself by throwing Hantz under the bus. Monica’s threats to turn the jury against him had lasting repercussions when he failed to win in the finale.
Monica comes to “Second Chance” as one of the least memorable players, but to those that do remember her she may also come into the game as a dangerous wild card. Gold Derby odds to win: 16/1
PROS
Monica won zero individual immunities, making her an ideal candidate to bring along deep into the game where the advantages of playing against weak players are paramount.
She was loyal to her original tribe to the very end of the game and was a key component of an alliance of women.
CONS
Monica struggled early in her season to contribute in positive ways in team challenges, becoming an early target to be voted out due to a series of immunity challenge blunders.
In a game full of veterans, they’ll know exactly how dangerous scrambling can be and Monica is scrappy as hell. Without an alliance to protect her, she’ll be quickly eliminated.
