Previous Finish: 3rd place
Season 12: Panama
By our assessment, “Survivor Panama” was one of the most interesting seasons the show has ever seen. This was mostly due to the fact that the final three castaways all had a great shot at winning. Luckily for the viewers, third place finisher Terry is back and competing in “Survivor: Second Chance.” Terry’s journey made him a fan favorite but also resulted in Terry becoming one of the show’s most winning contestants in regards to challenges.
Terry not only won five straight immunity challenges (tying Season 2’s Colby Donaldson) but four reward challenges and tied four of the show’s most popular players of all time (Colby, Tom Westman, Ozzy Lusth and Mike Holloway) for most immunity challenge wins in one season. Sadly, Terry has never reached a “Survivor” finale but hopefully he’ll remedy that this time around. Gold Derby odds to win: 33/1
Terry is without a doubt one of the most physical castaways to ever play the game and that will come in handy this season with his steep competition. Terry’s ability to perform in challenges is only rivaled by his intelligence.
Given the fact that he discovered the first ever hidden immunity idol on Exile Island, it is a safe bet that Terry will want to find another one this season. He has a great shot at winning the million dollar prize at the end of the season if he plays his cards right.
Terry’s ability to perform in challenges will make him a target off the bat, but will his fellow contestants let him slide under the radar due to the presence of contestants like Joe Anglim and Woo Hwang?
His social game is a mixed bag. While Terry is definitely likeable, his experiences with Courtney and Danielle have shown that people will not only vote out those he seems close with but will also turn on him as well. He will need to keep a close eye on his fellow tribe mates and execute a solid social game in order to stick around with this season’s cast.
