According to exclusive Gold Derby odds that are derived from the predictions made by users like you, Vytas’ ouster was not a shocker as he had 8/1 odds (11% chance) of heading home, just behind leading contender Kass McQuillen at 9/4 odds (31% chance). Be sure to make YOUR predictions right here.

Congratulations to our user Sunhound for earning the top score in this week’s contest. He’s one of 12 users to reap perfect 100% accuracy predicting all of the questions for Episode 1, titled “Second Chance,” though he broke the tie with his high 50,250 point score thanks to using his special 500 and 200 point bets wisely. If eligible, as per our contest rules, he will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.

This user’s winning predictions were that Vytas would be eliminated, that a hidden immunity idol would not be played and that nobody would quit the game. Starting next week, two more questions will be added to our predictions center: which tribe will win the reward challenge and which tribe will win the immunity challenge?

On the first season of “Blood vs. Water,” Vytas played with his brother Aras, already a previous winner. Aras’ status as a champion combined with the threat of two physically fit brothers in an alliance put an impossibly large target on Vytas from the beginning, a hurdle he was ultimately unable to overcome. Though he made decent personal connections with other castaways and proved himself to be an asset in challenges, it’s hard to imagine that Vytas was able to fully realize a strategy in the course of that game. But this time he was free of the chains of association with his brother, and in a game where everyone is seeking their own redemption, Vytas finally got to start on an even playing field.
