“Me not letting everybody know I have a son on the way, and me being emotional and showing them I’m playing for [my family]. I think that put me over the top,” reveals “Survivor: Second Chance” winner Jeremy Collins to Gold Derby on the red carpet at Wednesday’s season finale. “If I don’t say that, I think it’s really a close vote. I think Spencer could have beat me.” Watch our full interview below.

According to exclusive Gold Derby odds that were derived from the predictions made by contest entrants like you, firefighter Jeremy had overwhelming 5/4 odds (44% chance) to win the $1 million grand prize. “That’s good, I feel good about that,” Jeremy says when we inform him of his favorable odds with his fans.
Jeremy went to the Final 3 with Spencer Bledsoe and Tasha Fox and wound up receiving a record 10 votes to win at the live Tribal Council, compared to 0 votes for the other two.
“Everyone saw me go out last season and so they said, you’ll be out soon,” Jeremy says about his friends and family back home. “So it was cool to just hold in [the fact I made it to the Final 3] and just let everybody stew.”
“Survivor” may be over, but there are still many prediction contests to play at Gold Derby, including the Oscars, Golden Globes, SAG Awards, Critics’ Choice and so much more. Click here to start making your predictions right now.
