‘The Amazing Race’ cliffhanger: Who will be eliminated in this week’s two episodes?

Who do you think will be eliminated on this Friday’s double episode of “The Amazing Race“? Last week, only 2% of our users correctly pegged Jackie and Jeffrey as the most likely to be axed this week. Likewise, just 5% of our users foresaw that first win for Blair and Hayley, who were rewarded with a trip to South Africa for their efforts.

If you got those results right, why are you not taking part in our predictions contest? Every week, you could win a $100 Amazon gift certificate and a place on our leaderboards. And the ultimate champ will get a chance to chat with the “Race” winners. Do you have what it takes to be the best among the most fervent fans of the “Race”? Remember: this week, you have twice the chances to win as there are TWO episodes to predict.

According to an overwhelming majority of our users, the first of Friday’s episodes is likely to be a non-elimination leg with leading odds of 8/15 for that outcome. And our odds favor that Rochelle and Mike, who were in third place last week, will be the last to reach the finish line in both episodes. While that non-elimination leg should save them in the first installment, they have odds of 13/5 to be axed in the second of this week’s two episodes

Who do you think will falter at this stage of the game? Make your predictions now and you could win our weekly prize of a $100 Amazon gift certificate and a place of honor on our reality TV leaderboards. It’s fun and easy!

I am not convinced that either of these scenarios will play out. It could be too soon for another non-elimination leg. And Rochelle and Mike are getting along well.

The same cannot be said of blind daters Jelani and Jenny, who went from two successive first place finishes to third, then seventh, fourth and fifth. Maybe I should put my 500 point super bet on them being eliminated. At their current odds of 13/2, I would earn 3,250 points if they end up being chopped.  (You also get two super bets of 200 points each every week; the other questions are set at 100 points per.)

Our odds favor first place going to blind daters Tyler and Laura in the first episode and dating couple Aly and Steve in the second. Conversely, these two teams are longshots for elimination. But if I predict one of them to falter and they end up being last, I would rack up a ton of points.

Let’s take a look at who our contest leaders have in their sights.

Our overall leader, JasonNolette, forecasts a non-elimination and then a last place finish for Matt and Ashley who have odds of 12/1.

However, second-ranked vinny is predicting it will be the end of the road first for Rochelle and Mike and then for Blair and Hayley. And third-place Magic 8 Ball expects a non-elimination leg followed by the elimination of Rochelle and Mike.

Those are also the predictions of our most recent weekly winner Connor Young (Connordapianist). Young is 48 and hails from Norman, Oklahoma where he works as an electrical engineer. As he explains, “the non-elimination leg will almost have to be in one of tonight’s episodes since I think it’s too early for the final four. I’m about 75% positive it will be in the first episode since it would create more drama to have a speed bump in the second leg.” As for the team that will get tossed: “Rochelle and Mike have been the underdogs the whole race. They might be able to keep them self in the race but I think that this will be the week they go home.” This longtime fan of the “Race” admits, “I’m going to go out on a limb and saying that Blair and Hayley will win this season but anything is possible with this cast.”
