Why? Because your predictions will factor into our official racetrack odds that are pored over by other “Race” fans and TV execs who want to know which teams you love and hate, who you want to win and who you are desperate to see get a send-off.
Many of our readers already taking part in the predictions contest got it right that this week would be a non-elimination leg.
We’re four episodes into this 27th season and historically that has been a time when the last team to check in at the pit stop has avoided being bounced.
With the episode ending on a cliffhanger all we know is that Justin and Diana finished first with Tanner and Josh close behind. We don’t know the order that the rest of the teams make it to the mat nor do we know which teams will be U-turned.
Collectively, we overestimated Team Texas, with almost half of us predicting them to repeat as winners of a leg. Instead, it was their nemeses, the Green Team, that finished first. Contest entrants who predicted this engaged couple as the team to take this leg reaped the rewards of their bets.
None of our readers predicted that there would not be a U-turn in this leg of the race. While both teams to make it to the mat encountered the double U-turn board, neither chose to send a team behind them back to do both challenges.
Congratulations to MeisterKeno, the only contest entrant to get 75% accuracy by predicting correctly: that this would be a non-elimination leg; that Tanner and Josh would use the Express Pass; and that Justin and Diana would finish firt. If eligible, as per our contest rules, MeisterKeno will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.
Brulash82 remains on top with overall accuracy of 81% and 6,552 points. He breaks the three-way tie by having more points than Adam Rock (4,775) or rov (3,030). That comes from savvy placement of the three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points).
For example, Justin and Diana were 20/1 longshots to win this leg; had you bet your 500 points on them, you would have collected 10,000 points.
