Hurry — make your predictions now as to which artist will be axed from the Top 8. You have until 5:00 p.m. PT/8:00 pm ET next Tuesday (April 28) to predict the results. It’s fun and easy, so start now by scrolling down and predicting which two artists will be eliminated next week.

The official Gold Derby odds correctly predicted that Adam Levine would lose Johnson. But we got it wrong by pegging Blake Shelton‘s Hannah Kirby for elimination; she was safe. We had ranked Taylor as third likeliest to go home and his exit leaves Christina Aguilera with two artists. Both of Pharrell Williams‘s artists made it through to next week.

Levine also had Joshua Davis in the bottom three but his rendition of  “I Won’t Back Down” by Tom Petty won him the Instant Save. Taylor had sung “Dock of the Bay” by Otis Redding while Johnson performed “Help Me Make It Through the Night” by Kris Kristofferson.

Davis is now Levine’s only artist. Shelton has three still in the running —  Corey Kent White, Kirby and Meghan Linsey — while Aguilera has two (India Carney and Kimberly Nichole) as does Williams (Sawyer Fredericks and Koryn Hawthorne).

Our current odds are predicting that Williams will be the winning coach (he has odds of 6/5) while his artist Fredericks leads with odds of 13/8.

Remember that coming out on top in our contest doesn’t just mean answering the week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points. As we use those point totals to break ties when more than one user tops our leaderboard with the same number of correct answers, don’t take them for granted.

That’s how NgoKhang won this week’s prediction contest. Along with just 10 other people, he scored a perfect 100% by correctly predicting the answers to both questions, He broke that tie with  a score of 26,600. He racked up a jaw-dropping 25,000 points by putting his 500 point superbet on Davis finishing in third when he was at 50/1. And he had 200 points riding on both Johnson and Taylor going home (gaining him an extra 900 points). If he is eligible, as per our contest rules, NgoKhang will win a $100 Amazon gift card.

This strong showing moves NgoKhang into second place on our overall leaderboard behind Denton Davidson, who has a perfect track record of predicting since “The Voice” live rounds started. However, Davidson only earned 11,200 points this week which makes him vulnerable as a tie at season’s end would be broken by overall points.

Like NgoKhang, Davidson too put his 500 point superbet on Davis finishing in third but did so when the odds were only 20/1. That meant he collected 10,000 points (versus 25,000 for NgoKhang). He also picked up 1,200 points for predicting the two artists to go. That was more than NgoKhang got because the odds keep changing as people like you make their predictions.

As Davidson is one of our leading reality TV gurus, we asked him for his analysis this past weekend leading up Tuesday’s results. Click each of these gold links to read those comments: Hannah Kirby will not be eliminated and Top 10 Power Rankings.
