Here is how the results show operated:

Three artists were immediately declared safe based on audience voting the previous 24 hours. They were Smith, Roberts, and Baber.

Three quickly kicked off based on lowly votes were Shelby Brown, Braiden Sunshine, and Amy Vachal.

The middle three — Austin, Madi Davis, and Zach Seabaugh — performed near the end of the program going for an instant save on social media from the home audience. Austin was the one to advance. Austin sang “Make It Rain.” Davis performed “Don’t Dream It’s Over.” Seabaugh took on “Live Like You Were Dying.”

In terms of coaches, Blake Shelton has two competing in Baber and Roberts. Adam Levine has Smith. Gwen Stefani has Austin. Last year’s winning coach Pharrell Williams is now out of the competition.
